Your quick & easy guide to tyres.
Lets be real, we aren't all that experienced when it comes to Tyres and wheel. And the thought of having to buy new ones is frightening...... No stress, we will make it simple

✅ What Is Useful to Know
-
Tyre size basics – Width (e.g., 205), aspect ratio (e.g., 55), and rim diameter (e.g., 16). These numbers make sure you’re buying the right size.
-
Why sizes matter – The wrong size can affect handling, fuel efficiency, braking, and safety.
-
Tread depth & age – Far more important than codes. Worn or old tyres increase your risk on the road, so checking these keeps you safe.
🚗 What Drivers Don’t Really Need to Know
-
Load index & speed rating codes – Everyday drivers won’t get close to these limits. As long as tyres meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specs, you don’t need to memorise what “91V” or “95H” means.
-
Technical construction details – Knowing “R” means radial is handy trivia, but not essential for daily use.

Step 2 - Do you want to change the size of your Tyre?
There are many reasons why you might like to change the size of your tyre - remember if you change the size of your tyre, you also need to change the size of your rims.
Chat with the TyreNutz crew about this.
Step 3 - How much do you want to spend?
Its important to know that when you are working with a budget, tyre fitting costs can be hidden and creep up on you without you noticing.
Prices will change from garage to garage, sometime there are specials and discounts but just be sure to get a quote before work is started, so you know exactly what you will be charged.
